Educator Support

Local Collaboration

Southern Oregon Regional Environmental Education Leaders (SOREEL)

SOREEL connects organizations and educators that focus on science and environmental education in Southern Oregon to coordinate, share resources, and collaborate around related educational efforts.

Many SOREEL partners, including Educate Regenerate, are now offering online or remote programs to meet classroom educators' needs during the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

Coaching & Curriculum Development

Educators, whatever your situation, I am committed to collaborating with you to design engaging learning experiences for your students.

School & Informal Program Support

Potential ways I can support your program include:

  • Create custom "plug and play" environmental education activities for remote learning

  • Write custom lesson plans classroom or alternative set-ups

  • Lead in-person small group activities in a natural area or on school grounds (local schools only)

  • Coach you through a brainstorm session or answer questions for projects you're already working on

  • Modify existing lessons/activities so they can be led by parents or volunteers in small group settings

  • Connect you with engaging environmental education online resources

  • "Zoom In" as a guest speaker or to lead an activity

  • Translate your existing curriculum for a remote learning set-up

  • Unify existing lesson plans into a cohesive unit plan

Please note that while my work is inherently interdisciplinary and I therefor do not limit my scope to a specific subject area, I do expect the overall intent of any project to align with the Educate Regenerate Philosophy.

Oregon Outdoor School Support

I work closely with Oregon Extension Outdoor School and am available to support schools/districts and/or outdoor school providers with:

  • curriculum development, revision, or updating

  • developing learning resources, including virtual materials

  • integrating social-emotional learning, culturally-responsive, and/or equity and inclusion practices

  • brainstorming, coaching, and collaborative planning

  • on-site instruction
