Smart Seeds

This hands-on lesson involves multiple short activities that can be modified as needed. Participants experience a variety of different kinds of seeds, play games, plant, make art, and discuss what seeds are, how they travel, what they need to grow, and more!

Where Does the Rain Go?

In this highly customizable lesson or mini-unit, students explore the flow of stormwater on their school grounds, practice map-making, and identify potential sources of stormwater pollution. Depending on time and desire, this investigation can result in an excellent classroom discussion, or be expanded to lead to an exciting, schoolwide improvements like building a rain garden or inspiring a pollution prevention program.
